Job Title: Legal & Compliance Expert

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Legal & Compliance Experts to contribute to an AI training project by designing realistic, multi-step legal and compliance tasks with objective grading criteria. The role involves transforming real-world legal workflows into structured benchmark tasks that evaluate AI systems' reasoning, judgment, and accuracy. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design multi-step tasks based on real legal and compliance workflows, including contract review, due diligence, regulatory assessments, and risk analysis.
  2. Develop clear instructions and objective grading criteria to ensure consistent evaluation.
  3. Create tasks that require legal judgment, careful document interpretation, and analytical reasoning rather than simple information lookup.
  4. Prepare supporting materials, including agreements, policy documents, regulatory texts, and due diligence files.
  5. Identify ambiguous or ungradable tasks and refine them before submission.
  6. Deliver high-quality, approved tasks within project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in contract review, due diligence, regulatory compliance, or risk management.
  2. Experience developing or applying structured review standards, compliance frameworks, due diligence protocols, playbooks, or training assessments.
  3. Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies across multiple documents.
  4. A law degree and bar admission, or an equivalent compliance qualification, is an advantage but not mandatory.
  5. Strong written and spoken English proficiency (B2 minimum; C1 preferred).
  6. Experience with AI or LLM evaluation is a plus but not required.

Project Details

  • Engagement: Project-based, with payment per approved task.
  • Compensation: Up to $90/hour equivalent.
  • Estimated Time: Approximately 10 hours per task.
  • Work Mode: Fully remote, with no geographic restrictions.
  • Language Requirement: B2-level English minimum; C1 preferred.
